A Young Dreamer
The hero of this story is a 20-year-old youth with a big dream in his heart – to inspire Indian children and youth to dream big and carve their own unique paths. The foundation of this journey was laid two years ago. One day, our founder saw a child yearning for "thekua" (a traditional snack) at a local shop. Curious, he asked his father if it was safe to eat. The answer was 'no' – it wasn't clean. Still, he tried it, only to fall ill the very next day. This incident opened his eyes and made him realize the importance of safe, clean food.
The Chhath Puja Spark
Some time later, on the auspicious occasion of Chhath Puja – a festival celebrated with great fervor in Bihar and Uttar Pradesh – our founder received a packet of thekua from a friend. He loved its taste but noticed a problem: it was expensive and only available during the festival. A year later, he observed the same issues with other snacks like makhana (fox nuts) and banana chips – they were often unhygienic, costly, and not easily available year-round.
The Birth of Deshi Swad
This is where Deshi Swad was born, starting its journey on Instagram. Why Instagram, you might wonder?
